Hi, my
name is Alex
I'm a software engineer at
Microsoft, working on AI/ML.
I'm passionate about solving complex problems in AI/ML infrastructure, scientific discovery, and robotics. I've gained hands-on experience working with cutting-edge technologies at top companies and research institutions.
Currently building Atomic — an open-source tool that uses coding agents to help developers understand, research, and plan complex work across legacy, large, or greenfield codebases. Think migrations, large refactors, or onboarding onto a new project — with proper context management and steerability.
I built this to help myself and developers stay competitive, with a tool dedicated to proper AI-assisted coding, human in the loop as a first principle, and software development lifecycle best practices. If you feel the same, try it out. PRs welcome.
🎓 Academic Journey
Completed my data science undergrad @ Boston University, where I had the opportunity to work with the late great Prof Margrit Betke on 3D self-supervised representation learning for human motion understanding. 🏃🏼♂️
Fortunate to collaborate with Prof Tomas Kirchhausen @ Harvard Medical School during my last year of undergrad developing DINO3D for molecular and cellular world understanding. 🧬
💼 Industry Experience
Gained hands-on experience as SWE, MLE, and data scientist at Microsoft, Boeing, Edwards Lifesciences (FDA processing model for aortic stenosis detection), and AI startups including Themis AI (MIT CSAIL spinoff).
